Coffee

HC Coffee exists to bring people together to better our community, one cup at a time.

We believe that everyone wants to be better at something and it can be as easy as drinking a cup of coffee. That is why all proceeds from our coffee go back into the local community to make Minerva a better place for all. The coffee shop is a ministry of Hope Community and a way for us to be for our community.

When you drink a cup of our coffee you matter.

We are proud to partner with Phoenix Roasters  to bring you some of the best coffee in the world. Phoenix works directly with the farmers to provide them with a living wage, paying them 300-400% more per pound of coffee than fair trade coffee companies. This allows the farmer to support their family and better the local economy. In addition, Phoenix Roasters uses the proceeds from the coffee to start churches in the Atlanta area, and is proud to partner with the Atlanta Mission. It truly is #CoffeeThatMatters.

It is our desire that by simply drinking a cup of coffee, you can make a difference in our community and around the world.

Meet the Caballero Family

Caballero Family

Members of the Caballero Family had the opportunity to serve their coffee to 10,000 people at the Catalyst Conference. L to R: Elias Caballero, Paul Snyder, Enoc and Yaneth Caballero, Elias Caballero, and Phil Rittenhouse.

The Caballero family from Panama produces some of the highest quality coffee in the world. Not only that, the family supports 89 missionaries around the world, provides meals to a women’s shelter, and provides dignified employment for the indigenous people of Panama—all from the farm. The family has  had to go without at times in order to provide for the needs of others.

Our founders, Phil Rittenhouse and Paul Snyder, had the opportunity to work on the Caballero farm to build the first house in Panama for indigenous people with running water and electricity. Our farmers aren’t just a picture on the wall, they are family. We are proud to be serving La Finca Caballero coffee at Hope Community.
