At Hope Community, we are a church who makes disciples of Jesus.
We offer engaging and interactive services with inspiring messages that will help you to grow closer to God.
We strive to help people grow in their faith and discover the joy of a life dedicated to Jesus.
We make disciples of Jesus who are transformed by truth, sent on mission, and live in unity.
As humans we are transformed by something either intentionally or unintentionally. To be a disciple of Jesus means you are transformed by Him.
Transformed by the Scriptures
Disciples of Jesus chose to be transformed by the truth of God’s word (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:12) not the lies of our culture. As we read God’s word in the Scriptures, God works through them to make us more like him in every way.
Transformed by the Spirit
God gives us his Spirit to lead us into his truth (John 16:13) and transform us. Disciples of Jesus are transformed and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Transformed by Discipline
It takes discipline. A disciple of Jesus is daily spending time reading the Scriptures and praying. God uses these two foundational disciplines to guide us into the truth. Jesus is the Way, truth and life (John 14:6).
The church functions best when it is on mission together. Jesus sent his followers out into the word with a mission to make more disciples (Matthew 28:18-20).
Sent to be Generous
We imitate Jesus in his generosity by sacrificially giving of our finances to meet needs in the church, locally and globally (Mark 12:41-44).
Sent to Evangelize
Jesus sent his followers out to share the good news of the Kingdom. As his disciples, we share the good news with those around us in our home, workplace, and community (Matthew 28).
Sent to Serve
Just as Jesus came not to be served but to serve, so we also serve (Matthew 20:28). A disciple of Jesus isn’t a consumer of spiritual goods and services, but a contributor. We all have a role to play in building up the Body of Christ. The Holy Spirit gives us gifts for this purpose.
Jesus prayed that his followers would be one as he and His Father are one. We can’t do this if we don’t intentionally spend time with other disciples of Jesus.
Unity in Worship
We gather to worship because something happens when we’re together that doesn’t when we’re singing alone in our car. God’s church is an embodied church. It takes all of us together and it is how God has chosen to work in the world today (1 Corinthians 12:12-27).
Unity in Groups
We gather in community groups to pray for one another, encourage one another, eat together, read and study the scriptures together. By doing this we become more unified as the people of God. We gather as family. The church is the people of God wherever we gather.
Unity in Family
The church may be our actual families, but it is also our spiritual family of brothers and sisters in Christ, of spiritual mothers and fathers. The family of God is bigger than just our church, it spans the globe. We are part of something much bigger and we invite you to experience the unity that Jesus prayed.
Over the next five years we want to see 500 lives transformed, not just people attending church, but people who have been radically changed by the good news of Jesus. It’s not about the numbers because every number has a name, every name has a story and every story matters to God.
We believe Jesus is the only one powerful enough to transform and save. Transformed people live out the good news of Jesus and His Kingdom. They are not content to just consume church but immitate Jesus in giving their lives away for others.
Jesus is in the business of transforming lives. It is Jesus who does the saving and does the transforming. Yet, Jesus works through his Church today to carry out his mission to go into all the world, making disciples teaching them the way of King Jesus, and baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Spirit. We get to be part of this mission, and it is for Jesus and his glory. It’s not about us, it’s about our King who saved us. He gets all the credit. May His Kingdom come, may His will be done here in Minerva.
We are committed to living out the values of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to love God, love others, and share the good news of Jesus Christ.Â
From the start we have been FOR Minerva. For far too long the church has been known for what it is against. We want to be known for what we are for.
We are for families of all kinds, businesses, schools, and churches because we believe that God is for us. In fact, God is for all people. We want good things for our community and believe that when our community wins, we all win.
A small team of five people set out to make Hope Community a reality on January 8, 2017.
From the start we’ve been about clearing away the unnecessary things that keep people from Jesus. Simply, we wanted to create a church where all people can discover hope unhindered. It's our desire that you would connect deeply with God and the people that make up his church.
More than ever, Hope Community is committed to fostering a family built around hope.
Hope for the future. Hope for better. Hope for progress.
Hope in Jesus.
And as we move forward as a church family, community and belonging remain at the center of who we are as followers of Christ.
What does this mean for you? Most importantly, you're always welcome at Hope Community. We're saving a seat for you. Wherever you're at in your faith journey, you'll always be accepted as part of the Hope family.

We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.
We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to humanity and to become the Savior of the lost world. We believe that the Holy Spirit, who is God, fills all who follow Jesus.
We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with him but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.
We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.
We believe the entire Bible is a divine and human work. It is the inspired Word of God and people were moved by the Spirit of God to write Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error in all it intends to communicate.
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus is the head. The church is made up of those who have trusted in the finished work of Jesus Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving him and by making him known to the lost world.
We believe all Christians are to follow Jesus in everything. They should live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to the Scriptures and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should continue to mature and be conformed to the image of Christ.
